Center for Advancement of Accounting

In March 2004, the Center for the Advancement of Accounting (CAA) was created with the assistance of the Friends of Accounting (FAD) to increase awareness and promote private support of the School of Accounting. The overall mission of the Center is consistent with the School of Accounting's education mission, which includes:
  • assisting in providing technology upgrades for faculty and student use.
  • engaging in education program development.
  • sponsoring events and programs featuring professional and academic speakers.
  • providing reference materials for departmental and student use.

In addition to the items listed above, gifts to the Center support faculty research and academic travel.

Recently, Director for the Center Rich White gathered a task force of accounting alums to review the purpose of the Center and to determine how it can best benefit the School of Accounting. Refer back to the web page for the Center often to review the efforts coming from the decisions of this group.

If you have questions about the Center or wish to make a contribution to the Center, please contact the Center for the Advancement of Accounting director, Rich White, at 803.777.4374 or by email at whiter@moore.sc.edu.
