Moore School Fires up the Crowd for Homecoming

Alumni and their families came home to the Darla Moore School of Business for the 3rd Annual Homecoming BBQ, joined by faculty, staff, students and friends, reaching nearly 100 attendees.  In addition to music, food and a raffle, Kids and adults alike enjoyed the antics of Gamecock mascot Cocky and lined up for balloon art creations provided by Balloonopolis, a company owned by alumnus Shawn Mewborn (BSBA ’89, MBA ‘93) and his wife. A host committee made up of distinguished emeritus faculty and staff, Jim Hilton, Pierce Liles, Bill Putnam and John Willenborg, was there to greet guests.  Associate dean Brian Klaas also gave an update on the Moore School's impressive new building plans and excellent academic rankings, raising pride and excitement levels amongst alumni.
Prior to Homecoming festivities, alumni had the chance to hear from Moore School and community experts in risk and insurance when Ernie Csiszar, Greg Niehaus, Travis Pritchett and Jed Suddeth spoke about "Managing Risk and Uncertainty Across Disciplines."
Thanks to the fantastic alumni and loyal Moore School supporters that made the event a success again this year!
