Students selected as Emerging Leaders will typically be involved in several of the areas outlined below and hold positions of responsibility:

-      Darla Moore School Student Organizations Officers
-      Campus-Wide Student Organizations Officers and Founders
-      Student  Government Officers
-      Magellan Scholars
-      Scholar-Athletes
-      Case Competition Team
-      Community Service
-      Entrepreneurs
-      Greek Life Officers
-      Palmetto-Moore Research Team

Newly named Emerging Leaders, as well as members of the Emerging Leaders Circle, are invited to participate in a variety of professional and personal development activities.

Emerging Leaders and Circle members are invited to a banquet and professional presentation held in their honor each spring. They are also given the opportunity to participate in a national leadership growth and empowerment organization, the LeaderShape Institute, which in partnership with the school offers a week-long camp for Emerging Leaders.  The LeaderShape Institute exists to “inspire, develop and support more people committed to leading with integrity.”  In today’s competitive and global business environment, changing the world begins with leadership.
