MIB Double Degree Programs
The Darla Moore School of Business is pleased to offer several double degree options for our Master of International Business candidates. Students who participate in these programs will receive an MIB degree from the Moore School as well as a second masters degree from one of our world renown partner universities abroad.
Master in Management (MiM) at Grande École ESCP Europe, Paris
After completion of the one year MIB curriculum at the Moore School, students in the ESCP MIM track travel to Paris, France, to begin their year of study at ESCP. Renowned for its international student body representing 90 countries, opportunities for multicultural group work, geographic mobility in terms of internships and study, and faculty representing 18 countries, ESCP offers a truly global education. With more than 140 electives from which to choose, students have the flexibility to customize their curriculum to fit their specific career goals. At the completion of two years, students will have earned a Master in International Business from theMoore School and the Master in International Management from ESCP.
Master of Science in International Management (MIM) at Koç University (Istanbul, Turkey)
In the Koç (pronounced "coach") MIM track, students complete a year of coursework at Koç and then proceed to the Moore School to begin the one-year MIB program. At Koç, future leaders of the global economy link theory and practice by generating creative, hands-on solutions to challenges. Students are immediately immersed in the MIM Core curriculum, which consists of courses including Business Policy and Strategy in a Global Environment, Cross Cultural Management, Business Project, Graduation Project and Skill Seminars, as well as International Business and International Studies electives. Koç provides graduates with unique insight and experience in a country at the intersection of two continents. Likewise, Koç University’s strong academic offerings are bolstered by a vivid social and cultural environment and dynamic campus life.
Mannheim Masters in Management (Mannheim, Germany)
In the MMM track, students complete one full semester at the University of Mannheim before beginning their studies in the MIB program at the Moore School. Upon completion of the one-year MIB, students return to Mannheim for a final semester to complete the MMM degree. Mannheim’s MMM program gives students the opportunity to design a unique course of study through numerous specializations within the areas of accounting and taxation, banking, finance and insurance, information systems, management, and marketing and operations management, rounded with core courses in the fields of business and economics. Students may either build a thorough subject-specific specialization or a broad academic education, depending on their own career goals.
Cost
The total cost for an in-state double degree student—to include legal residents of Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee (via the Academic Common Market)—is $30,000 for the two year program. The total cost for an out-of-state/international double degree student is $36,000 for the two year program. Merit based fellowships are awarded to competitive candidates. There is no additional application needed to be considered for a merit based fellowship. All program and University fees are subject to change without notice upon mandate of the University's Board of Trustees.
Application
For those interested in participating in the double degree, please make sure to check the appropriate box on your online application. If you are applying directly to the Moore School, no application is needed for Mannheim. We need to receive your online application and supporting documents/test scores, prior to June 1 in order to be considered for the double degree. For those students who have already applied/been accepted to the MIB program, please contact us immediately if you are interested in the double degree.
