Corporate Accounting
The accounting focus is best suited for applicants whose objective is to enter or continue a career in the corporate accounting and finance fields. Students who select this area will develop the expertise in corporate accounting and finance required to pursue careers leading to positions such as corporate controller or chief financial officer. This concentration is focused on corporate accounting and finance functions and is not designed to prepare students for careers in public accounting.
Subject areas for this focus include corporate tax, advanced cost and managerial accounting, and advanced financial accounting. Students also choose from a broad range of electives such as:
